Clean Technology
Clean technology includes use of renewable sources such as wind energy, solar power, biofuels, hydropower, green transportation and other resources which are energy efficient. In other words it is maximum utilization of renewable sources to reduce the use of natural resources and do not add on to pollution. There are numerous end use applications for Clean Technology such as in construction of green complexes, transportation, waste management, carbon markets, energy competency and others.
With the level of awareness rising over the years for conserving our natural resources, rising crude oil prices and implementation of policies which would save our environment, the investments in clean technology have considerably increased. The prominent segments which have received funding are solar power, wind power and bio fuels companies. It is expected by 2018, the prominent segments would earn revenue of more than USD 300 billion.
Some of the fields that Ken Research has covered under this segment include India waste management and recycling, Global biofuel market, lighting industry in India and Global solar photovoltaic market and others.
